I don't like football so not really... but I prefer CFL to the NFL.

The Ottawa Roughriders are no more (since 1996 actually.)

They later came back as the Renegades.

Bandwagon Als fan here. I'll watch playoff games and a game or two each summer. From what little I've heard, Popp really had a killer draft and some great off-season pickups, but I'd be lying if I told you I could break down the team's roster.

Unfortunately, I don't live up to my patriotic obligation and I vastly prefer the NFL and NCAA brands of football. Three downs just doesn't cut it for me.

One of our boys from Montana, Dave Dickenson is the starting quaerterback for a Canadian team(I must admitt I have no clue who he plays for) Anyways just wondering if he is very well known in Canada? I know he has won a few championships as well as a few MVP's I believe. Just curious what any of you know about him!

I'm just a casual CFL fan, but I certainly know Dave Dickenson. He plays for the BC Lions in Vancouver, and I think he's been there quite a while (at least 5 years, probably closer to 10). I think they last won the Grey Cup in 2002 or 2003, but I'm not sure if he's been an MVP candidate recently. I know that last year there was a bit of a QB controversy in BC with a rookie (Casey Printers) lighting it up when Dickenson was injured. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out this year.

As for the field size, yeah, a CFL field is 110 yds long instead of 100, and the end zones are all 15 yards deep instead of 10.

actually last year was dave's first year back in the cfl. he spent 3 years in various backup rolls in the NFL. his last team was san diego. he returned to the cfl last year as a starter with the b.c. lions but then hurt his knee, and the rookie back up came in and did an amazing job.
