i just bought this for gb advance..

i forgot how much of a fuckin bastard this game is and how bad it used to piss me off..

i shut it off after the frankenstien board where you gotta take out franky and his imp buddy jumps around and hits you with fireballs..after making it through a board where if hit by a bat you will get knocked into water and die..the board beofre was pretty frustrating too

i cant wait to get to the grim reaper (who i remember used to piss me off to no end) and dracula/end beast (who i could never beat)

One of my favorite games of all time, but frustrating as hell.

I love Castlevania, but I have to say Simon's Quest was my favorite. Do they have that one out on GBA yet?

Ghosts N Goblins is similar, and maybe the hardest game in NES history.
Castlevania was fun :)

The Playstation1 Castlevania is one of the best games ever

Great series, and one of the most challenging out there.

I also preferred Simon's Quest.

Castlevania might be my favorite video game series.

1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)
2. Dracula X (PC Engine (Japan Only))
3. Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest (NES)
4. Castlevania 4 (SNES)

It was fun back in the day, tried it out the other day and stopped at those fucking Medusa heads. Games sure have gone a long way as far as the ability to control your character.

1. Symphony of the night
2. Super Castlevania (that had some pimp levels)
3. Castlevania 3
4. Simons Quest

I haven't tried any of the 3-D versions, and I don't intend to. I may have to pick up a DS just for the new 2-D one.

I had completely forgotten about how awesome Castlevania 4 is. Good call.

Super Castlevania (was it 4?) was my favorite, although I like the first as well. I pretty much stopped gaming after SNES, so I dont know about the others.

This is the one great NES franchise I just never got into. I played it, but it was harder than hell.

But yet, Contra is hard too, (unless you put in the ten man code) but I played that nonstop because I liked to blow shit up.
