I see a fair bit of U2 hate here, and it is true their last two albums have been quite similar, so I can see why some people might not like them.

Throw Achtung baby on and you'll remember why they are such a great band.

One, The Fly, End of the World, Mysterious Ways, Ultraviolet (light my way). Classic Stuff. Probably my favorite U2 album (it's close between this and War).

*shows some love*

U2 have some good work, I just hate them for the monolithic money making machine that they've become. And Bono, for all his good works, is a bonified asshat.

Achtung rules. The best album they ever released. War comes in second.

my favorite album of theirs. acrobat and love is blindness are a great closing pair and who's gonna ride your wild horses has a cool atmosphere that they've never gone back to.

Until the end of the World might be my favourite-tune by U2. I was in heaven when I saw it live.

their best album.

on par with Nick Cave's 'let love in' for post-breakup listening.

I love old U2. I think their newer stuff is sub-par. And they come off as very pompous. But Achtung. Oh man. Amazing album.

Overall it is there best, but on a song by song basis I think War is better. Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Years Day are better than any two tracks on this disc.

One is an amazing song (maybe my favorite U2 song), but it is so damn overplayed.

Amazing, amazing album. It never fails to make me shake my hips. Not my favourite U2 album but it does have my favourite song; Who's gonna ride your wild horses....

Yeah this whole album is quite enjoyable. Joshua Tree's first 4 tracks are amazing, but this one is better as an album experience.

Bullet the Blue Sky is the best song on the JT! And the second half is beautiful and criminally underrated, which is hardly a surprise given the 1-2-3-4-5 punch of the first half
