pretty low expectations going in...why would the Yankees series be a bigger deal? They haven't won anything since 2000
The Kerry Wood/Roger Clemens' matchup when Clemens was going for his 300th was huge. It's as close as we Cubs' fans get to a World Series atmosphere.
Also, the tickets to that game were the hardest to get out of any playoff game in 2003. The tickets for this series can definitely be had. The scalpers aren't making nearly the profit they thought they would.
By the way, I have two extras for Sunday if you still want to come in.

that's like saying the U2 show was better than pearl jam show because it was more difficult to get tickets

The Wakefield/Rusch matchup for Sunday night is a matchup of two flame-throwers. I can't wait to follow the radar gun for those pitchers.
EK's homer after hee sucks choi got knocked out was fucking SWEET
thus far, the difference in eric karros's and hee seop choi's career ops is .04. choi's 26. but, if you really think he sucks, that .04 difference means you see a very fine line between sucking and God.

OPS is a dorknerdgeek stat davo. It's meaningless.

*14-3 Cubs

Wow. The game was pretty much over by the 3rd inning -- kind of melodramatic. Greg Maddux's homerun was the highlight. But, then again, his OPS is awful, so I guess he sucks.

Yeah, seriously. Who needs stats?
What's wrong with someone being interested in stats? Just because someone knows stats it means they don't watch sports? I don't understand your logic here.

it's not really possible for me to watch anymore baseball than i do. i umpire two games every day, so it's kind of hard not to see those games in person. plus, with the extra innings package, i probably average watching parts of four or five major league games every day. but, i can see where that might not be enough. i also understand how someone like you would hate to have facts presented that dispell their own conceptions about the things they watch, which they clearly don't understand. or, maybe now that you know choi has been a better offensive player than karros, (his career ops is now higher after two homers last night, including a walk off homer that won a game for your supposedly precious dodgers) it's more difficult for you to fantasize of fellating eric karros.
