Good for you Cos. Casino, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas are infinitely rewatchable.

If you haven't seen Taxi Driver yet, make that your next choice.

Just stay away from everything he's done in the last 5 years or so.

explains the Kevin Costner avatar!

ba dum dum pshhh!

Heat starts slow but builds to a fantastic climax. Heat is one of my favourite films. It's no Meet the Fockers but what are you gonna do?

Heat is amazing.

the scene with De Niro and pacino at the restaurant is the best.

Agreed. That is one of the best scenes in history of cinema.

Casino was pretty good, performance wise... but it just seemed sooooo much like a sequal to Goodfellas that it was unnerving. Sharon Stone was amazing in Casino though. The knock-out drag-down fights between De Niro and Stone are right up there with his steak throwing blowouts in Raging Bull.

Another great scene is when Nicky Santoro pops a guy's eye out of it's socket by throwing his head in a vice. Sick stuff.

GoodFellas coming out first really hurt the movie Casino. I've read both books and they are both great but I think Casino was the better story. It involved a lot more higher-ups in the mafia and how they controlled billions of dollars in Las Vegas. The Vario family from Goodfellas was big but the Chicago mafia controlled everything from Casinos to political figures and basically won the election for Kennedy. Sorry, mafia rant there. 2 great movies anyway. Goodfellas is a lot better though.

I like him best as the young Don in Godfather II. Those scenes are my favorite part of the whole GF series.

A couple of my other favorites are Taxi Driver and Midnight Run.
