About time we had this debate...
- is it too long?
- is it just perfect?

I think there's definitely some stuff on there which could have been left off but, having said that, I wouldn't change a thing about it.

Just hypothetically though... If I had to cut it down to one disc it'd probably look like this:
Back in the USSR
Glass Onion
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
While my guitar gently weeps
Happiness is a warm gun
I'm so Tired
Blackbird
Why don't we do it in the road?
Birthday
Mother Nature's Son
Everbody's got something to hide except me and my monkey
Sexy Sadie
Helter Skelter
Long, long, long
Revolution1
Honey Pie Cry baby cry

My favourite song is While my guitar gently weeps.

exactly my sentiments, if they cut it down it wouldn't be the "legendary white album" that it is and probably would have actually been viewed as a letdown after sgt peppers. nothing should be changed (except maybe putting the good revolution on instead of revolution 1)

p.s. i don't think dear prudence or julia would be cut if such a thing were to happen

And you are gonna leave Dear Prudence off... the outro from USSR to the intro to PRudence is what makes that album in my oppinion..

Well I wanted to leave it but there's only so much room, y'know? Anyway, I literally just scanned through the album and chose those songs in like 30secs, so don't pay too much attention to them. I guess it illustrates the need for this to be a double album, if anything.

Everything pretty much...I gave some meanings behind songs, the making of the album, the historical context, the Beatles themselves. It was 15 minutes long but I had the whole thing down by memory pretty much. It was basically like talking about something you enjoy to a class of people. Actually, I thought I did pretty bad, and I wouldn't do it again. I really didn't have that much experience with the album and doing something else might have been easier. Oh well

I'm gonna get this fucker and finally get into the Beatles. I already love a few of the songs from it: Hey Jude, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, etc. I just need to listen to it in its entirety.

You shoulda just talked about the cultural significance of the Arcade Fire. I mean they are the bestest band and they're revolutionising music for all time.
