so, I have a sony vaio.

i am going to grad school and the school is totally wired for apple/mac (better for all those graphic design students)

the two ladies i'll be living with have apple computers and we want to get wireless internet.

my question: should i just buy an ibook, or can I upgrade or configure my computer to interface with the wirless internet, both at home and school?

help!

if you're computer doesn't already have it, you can get a wifi card and use the same network. you don't have to buy a new computer for it.

Rock! Thanks guys.

That saves me about $1000 bucks.

Is there a special WiFi card I have to get or is it a pretty generic thing? I don't think my computer already has one.

If you're not a Mac person now, you will forever regret purchasing an i-Book.

i'm definitely not used to Macs. We had a couple when I was growing up but i'm more accustomed to PCs.

Why do you say as much? Are they not all they're cracked up to be?
