I was just watching a segment on the show about the Tampa Bay Devil Rays today and heard the end of "Not For You" in the background when Tanyon Sturtze was comparing playing for the Rays to the Yanks.

Pretty cool.

Rob Thomas plays throughout the entire NBA Finals . . . for what it's worth.

it was when it used to be an hour long, like in 93 or something. my dad was president of the local youth baseball organization, and a few years prior there was a sixteen year old umpire who was strangled by a seven year old coach pitch coach and had to go to the hospital. the local paper, the tulsa world, did a week long feature on violence in children's sports, and my dad was interviewed and was on the cover of the sports section one of the days. espn saw that and interviewed him for an outside the lines show on the same subject. if i remember correctly it was jeff greenfield who did the interview. he's now a political analyst on cnn. i remember talking with him for a while before and after the interview. i was only eleven or twelve, but i remember he said he usually did work for abc news back then.

I've never heard of a coach of a baseball team being 7 years old... you typed "there was a sixteen year old umpire who was strangled by a seven year old coach."

yes, then i typed coach pitch coach, meaning he was the coach of a in a seven year old coach pitch league. was it that difficult to understand?
