This needed its own thread. Can't wait for this one tonight. I could care less if anybody comes over and chips in, i'm paying $50 for this fight. These guys seem to hate each other more and more every day. I don't think it's hype either. All the hate should make for a brutal fight. Gatti isn't gonna quit, that's for sure. I don't think he's gonna be able to get to Mayweather enough though. Mayweather is too quick and slips so many punches. However, his chin is still suspect and if he gets hit with those gatti bombs i can see him getting knocked out. I give Gatti a punchers chance(plus he has the biggest heart in boxing since Holyfield's heyday). That's why i'm gonna put a bit of loot on gatti to win the fight. he's getting 4 to 1 odds, it's the smart bet. I don't see him winning but it's the smart bet so that's what i'll be doing. Enjoy the fight everybody, this should be a great one.

I was at Ward-Gatti one, and I can tell you from experience, Gatti won't give up. The guy can take a beating and still give one. I think your bet's a smart one.

OK - my boyfriend (a massive fan of boxing and generally a great odds man) says Gatti is going to be massacred.

Bet against Gatti.

EDIT: Ok, now he says that "Of course, Gatti's got the punchers chance, he may get a shot in and knock him out, but barring that, he's dead"

Bet on a baseball game.

I have another trip planned soon, so I'm staying home for now.

The odds probably are high, but money's money, right? If you want a great boxing analyst, check out Max Kellerman (sp?) - the guy knows everything about boxing. Just be careful he isn't discussing a fight where one of the fighters is on his A list. His judgement gets a little clouded sometimes, but luckily, that's a short list.

No way! I love him - I was so sorry to see him leave ESPN because now he's only on occasionally where before it was weekly. His knowledge of the sport is amazing, especially his historic knowledge.

I used to love when they'd do that "60 second" thing where they'd ask him as many questions as they could in a minute.

i'd just like to add to the love for max. ESPN should not have let him go, but he's dying on fox. if he was still with the network the sportscenters this week would really have done the fight tonight the acclaim it deserves.

I don't mind Kellerman normally, but I hated him as the host of Around the Horn. Bring him back to ESPN, but keep Statboy.

speaking of that.....how is it that hack-boy Tyson gets like a weeks worth of coverage on sportscenter, but yet this fight, definitely the fight of the year, has not been mentioned at ALL. espn really has their heads in their ass half the time. Keep having Pedro Gomex on for 10 minutes a day you idiots

ESPN has had it's head up its ass regarding boxing for years. Losing Kellerman has just about nailed the coffin. I don't think they realize how many boxing fans there are, and that not all of them want to pay for HBO, SHOWTIME, or $50 a pop to see a fight (most of which are shitty matchups anyway).

Kellerman knows his boxing but never bet on the fighter he picks to win because he is always wrong in the big fights. I hope Gatti knocks that punk's head off but Floyd is so damn good it's gonna be tough. I tried getting tickets but they went so quick and I don't have the money to pay EBay prices.

Kellerman is no longer on Fox, he has not been for months.

He will be on the HBO telecast tonight, doing some stuff between fights though. I think this might be a tryout thing, so I hope he does a good job, I am a fan of his too. I remember when he was just a teenager and he had that public service boxing show in NY, and he got lots of ink for it.

He also has been on that new Tucker Carlson show on MSNBC for some reason, and I believe he has a new show on ESPN radio as well.

Great fight tonight, as much as I respect Gatti, he truly has no shot, besides a lucky punch from winning the fight. Mayweather is the most talented fighter in the game, bar none, he has no weaknesses.

Oh and PJDoll, that is very cool that you were at the Gatti, Ward classic 8)

I was a big fan of Max on Friday Night Fights, but I hated him on Around the Horn.

I'm rooting for Gatti, but I'm not sure he'll be able to hit Mayweather. Hopefully it will be a good fight.

Anyone else wish the could get back the hour they wasted watching the Calderon fight?
