i know very few people (if at all) care, but man, i'm so pissed mexico lost to argentina on the confederations cup. 0-0 match, they go to overtime, mexico scores at the end of the first overtime, but the rules of the tournament say two overtimes of 15 min each have to be played if the match ends tied up after regular time. so argentina manages to tie the game on the second overtime. so on they go to the penalty kicks and both teams score their first five kicks. mexico misses the first penalty kick of the sudden death round, and argentina scores, to win the match and advance to the final against brazil.

goddamn, i really thought we had them this time. it'd be really cool to at least beat germany to take the third place in the tournament.

though they lost, mexico played a good game imo, and a good tournament (beating japan, brazil, tying it up with greece and almost making it against argentina) and seeing them play like this, i'm getting high hopes for the world cup next year. only time will tell.

It's too bad you're going to leave Columbus with yet another loss in September.


Although, that match will probably be for nothing more than bragging rights at that point.
