he started out pretty good this year, and Yankee fans were all pissed about the idiots in the front office letting him go. Now it seems as if he's getting knocked around pretty good, and he's already walked more guys this year than all of last year.

what's the deal? Is the new stadium THAT tough on pitchers?

his home/road splits are pretty telling in terms of ERA and BAA.

but the BB/HR stats are pretty similar:

Home: 8 Starts/48.2 innings/12 HR's/12 BB's
Road: 8 Starts/51.2 innings/10 HR's/10 BB's

seems that maybe something else is contributing to his struggles.

The Phils usually have 1 good month per year. Tomorrow is July 1st, the season is over. 8)

I just scored some behind the plate seats for the Phils vs. Rockies game here at Coors. Yeah little doggie and thank god for corporate seats.

King Soopers has $5 tickets for every $25 you spend. I think those are either rockpile seats or outfield seats. The rockpile seats are only like $8 or something everyday.

It could be worse, he could play for the Muckin Fets.

we all have to remember that lieber really wasn't all that good with the yanks.

era - 4.33
innings pitched - 176.2
hits allowed - 216!!!
hr's allowed - 20

the one thing that is unreal is that he has 24 walks right now, as compared to 18 all of last year with the yanks. but that is countered with him probably having better run support from the yanks and being able to attack hitters in the strike zone more. his career era is 4.26, so with him being a 5.18 right now, if he has a decent second half, he'll be right around his career stats. i think he's a number 3 starter, nothing more.

he blows, their starters have been putting them in an early hole just about every game over the last 3 weeks.

My favorite play is David Bell looking to throw to second with 2 outs on a slow grounder and Furcal the player running to second. Next batter comes up and hits a 3 run shot. The whole team is sucking right now with the exception of Lofton and Utley.

bell had one of the worst games he possibly could have had tonight, and it was terrific.

Don't worry. Ryan Howard was called up again. They'll put a bunch of pressure on him to perform RIGHT NOW and he'll go 7 for 40 over the two weeks Thome is out and send him back down.
