Headlining or opening act? This song is so good. I just ordered the cd off of amazon.com...hope it's good.

What's the deal? The two first cd's are good, the next two suck, and the last one is said to be more like the two first ones.

I recommend Word Gets around(the first).

they're a typical wokring class british band.
and on their new album, they're tying too hard to be "in", what with some new wavey songs...

not really my cup of tea.

I have one of their earlier albums: Performance And Cocktails which is quite good. I recommend it.

I have it too. Its all right, but it doesnt really give me anything. To call the lyrics shallow would be an understatement. Plus the singing isn't all that great. But they've got a cool name, I give them that.

;)

God I love "Dakota"... I heard it going home at 12:30 last nite and went out and picked up the album today. Good first half, but thats all i've got to hear so far.

Dakota is one of my top 10 songs of 05 so far though for sure.

They're from a tiny Welsh village. The first album (Word Gets Around) was very good - Kelly Jones was a great writer back then. The second was noticeable weaker lyrically but still had some strong moments. Then they turned into a crowd pleasing arena rock band and all the subtlety vanished from Kelly's vocals and his songwriting. Have A Nice Day.

You need to check out Maybe Tomorrow. Totally different sound, but great song.. The Stereophonics have gone back and forth with their albums and sound.

They do some really good covers. Off the top of my head "Nothing Compares To You" and The Stones "Angie". Got them off of WinMx
