Let me guess, um, nothing will happen to Rove. He's an untouchable. Even if they ever decided to go about criminal proceedings (which I'd put money on it that they won't) he'd just be pardoned at the end of this term, and I know he'd never spend a day in jail.
As I recall outing a CIA agent is punishable by death is it not?

This entire business seems like it's about to unfold.
IF this is true, then Rove has committed both treason and perjury. He will probably be forced to resign and face criminal charges in federal court. This reminds me of watergate sooo much.

Where do you recall this from?
From when this oringally was covered by the media. I recall them saying it's a felony punishable by death. But I could be wrong, which is why I asked for confirmation?

If you're referring to treason, then yes, however, making the argument for treason, on the basis of exposing a federal agent, seems a bit of a stretch. But treason's a bit more complicated today, nor do I think they would levy the death penalty for it unless it truly copromised the security and integrity of the nation.
Now, there may be other reprisals or laws broken in the circumstances.

Convicting anyone of an act of treason in America is relatively difficult but assuming the above evidence is proved true he would at least be charged. It is a treasonous offense specifically because revealing the identity of a CIA agent truly does "compromise the security and integrity of the nation". Capital offenses in this case would only be reserved for the most extreme cases and this would never consitute such a violation.

If Rove gets prosecuted for this, I'm going to have a spontaneous orgasm.

Why? What difference does it make if it's Rove or someone else? Schadenfreude?
Karl Rove, to me at least, along with Tom DeLay, is the very embodiment of everything that is wrong with politics in America today. The divide and conquer, slash and burn, win today fuck tomorrow attitude that is tearing the country apart and making average Americans lose trust, and interest in their own government. AND he has extraordinary influence.
I can think of no person whom the world would be a better place without. No one. (even Osama bin Laden? Yes, Osama is a castrated mule compared to Rove.)

B/c if it's someone no one knows, the American public will keep drooling in their cups. If it's Rove, maybe, just maybe, some people will say, "hey, that dude works hand-in-hand with the President. I don't know how honest and moral this administration REALLY is."
And it's a little schadenfreude. Nice word. I thought it was someone's name and had to look it up.

Do you honestly think the divide and conquer philosophy is an invention of Karl Rove and Tom DeLay? Do you honestly think politics will change for the better without these two?
Camouflage it how you want, but this involves nothing but good ole' fashioned Schadenfreude (which is OK in my book -- there are those that I, too, would love to see eliminated from the face of the Earth -- but I just wouldn't disguise it).

Because in my opinion Rove has gotten away with TOO much. He has done and is responsible for some pretty awful crap. That being said, it doesn't matter if the outer is him or somebody else, but if it is him, I would like to see him get his just deserts.

Like what? It sounds like you have a pretty exhaustive list there.

Have you ever heard, "john kerry is a trader", "ann richard's staff is mostly lesbians", "john mccain has fathered a black child", "Theresa Kerry supports terrorism", "john mccain's wife is a drug addict".
