its more pearl jams fault than theirs. you don't think PJ could have forseen these circumstances. this is how ticketmaster works we all know that.

It's not TM's fault. It's not PJ's fault. It's the fault of the people who bought tickets at 10am.

I believe they did try to fight ticketmaster and it didn't go too well.

Why does someone need to be blamed? Even if this were a fan club only show, we all wouldn't have gotten tickets.

This isn't the end of the world, I promise you.

Relax. If you had gotten tickets this wouldn't be a big deal. Everyone (myself included) still has a few months to make alternate ticket arrangements. PJ folks are sweet and generous.

Besides, can't possibly be a curfew in AC!!!!!

Eh, I don't think casinos are morally bankrupt, it's just where people go to have dumb fun and blow off some steam.

Besides, what better way to say f-u to the whole Atlantic City scene than to invite a bunch of organic peanut butter-loving Nader-ite PJ fans down?

some people are idiots

I have no idea how anyone can defend ticketmaster. It's a shitty system for giving out tickets. I like the e-mail reminders and phone call reminders and the ability to buy tickets online but it just does not work in giving everyone a fair shot at tix.

oh and the Borgota is a fucking venue not a politcal statement, and how do you propose to know the band's ethics? what a douche

people are only claiming to know the ethics that they have put forth. No one is claiming to have been in the ballot box with them...

but the "you dont know them" arguement doesnt hold water--- we know what they have told us--- and this show goes against what they have shown us.

would you have rather they not play these shows at all?

why can't you just be happy that they are playing? why can't you just be happy for the people who got tix! :D

i've seen PJ in vegas 3 times.. and although i don't think the venues have been that great, it made for an awesome mini vacation.

and i love seeing all the PJ fans totally invading the casino. it's so much different than other venues.

so i'm just pissed they chose AC over LV..

Ive said this a million times- I have no problem with Pearl Jam the band playing these shows, or charging whatever they want. I didnt try to get tickets 10c or otherwise, im not going- i cant make it. I just think they should town down some aspects of their activist speechs, because they strike me as hypocritical now.

if they just seem hypocritcal to you now, then you should of had your eyes open the whole time. Thera great band, But I don't take what any rockstar says seriously, I used to, but as I got older, I just stopped.

i disagree with most of eddie politics- so i admit to taking a certain perverse pleasure in their hypocrisy being more evident then before

I think the reason it comes across as hypocritical is because of how his politics are sensationalized by both the fans and himself.

Tons of big bands play the casinos for big money, that's all there is to it. Costello, Dylan, REM have all been through the Borgata recently. It's a fucking venue, nothing more.
