Who else can't fucking wait for this book to be released? I have mine preordered from Amazon and its guaranteed to be here on the 16th or its free. I starting reading these books about a year and a half ago and I have never looked forward to any book, movie or music as much as I am looking foward to this.
HARRY POTTER RULES!!!!!!!!!!

You'd get along with my mom. She just had me buy a NYTimes because it has a Harry Potter crossword.
Read them and you will see why. I work in a call center and have gotten most of the people in my dept. to read them and love them. One guy never read a whole book in his life and has read all of these twice now.

I was assigned the first one in a Modern Lit class, which I thought was pretty wonky. It was decent enough. My fiance got me reading the second, and by the third I was really into it. Not the most amazing books, but insanely enjoyable lightweight reading.

just started reading them a year and a half ago? well then, prepare for the worst feeling ever: waiting for book 7. the 3 years between books 4 and 5 were rough, especially since book 4 ended in an empire strikes back way. i think j.k. learned not to make her public wait that long though. still, another 2 years to wait. i'll be fucking thirty. of course, i'm getting ahead of myself. my weekend is planned.

"Lightweight" is correct. There are much better books for children to read.

Agreed, but these books are fun. For me anyway.
It's like watching Seinfeld or Family Guy. Sure, there's better television out there that is educational, etc., but these are just for fun.

i didnt read any of them until after i saw the first 3 movies.
so i read the first three books, and have left myself at a very difficult crossroads. Im not sure if i can wait for all the movies to make an appearance before reading the rest. I think im gonna wait until after the 4th movie this year, and then catch up.

Can't wait for this. Thinking i might go and re-read the final chapters of "phoenix" just to refesh. I heard Dumbledore dies in this one.
I doubt that. I think Dumbledore will be around until the final book. My theory is he'll die towards the end of it, sacrificing himself to save Harry in some way, and then Harry goes on to defeat Voldemoort with yet another reason for revenge. Also, lots of banging between Hermione and Ron.
