Their is coverage of his memorial (and what a singing party it was) but the only thing I could find was "Vandross, 54, died July 1 at a New Jersey hospital, two years after he suffered a debilitating stroke."

Don't know what actually happened, but RIP Luther.

Didn't see that either, but it also only says "Vandross died at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, N.J., said hospital spokesman Rob Cavanaugh. He did not release the cause of death. " Thanks for the link.
