So I've seen this bumper sticker on a couple of cars recently that said, "You can't be a Christian and be pro-abortion."
So apart from my previously professed disdain for people who have bumper stickers about either abortion or Christ, this one particularly bites my ass. First of all, who the fuck is this person to tell me or anyone else whther they can be a Christian or not? Secondly, I know several good Christians, with the emphasis on "good", who are not conservatives and regardless of their personal feelings about abortion (I don't know what they are), they are not the type of people who push their religious beliefs or political views on others.
Because that's what this is really about, politics. It has nothing to do with Christianity except that there are some politically active conservative Christians who think that Christianity and conservative politics are one and the same. I can think of nothing more sleazy and evil in politics than to split people apart by appealing to their faith, and this is something that is being perpetrated on a vast number of people in this country today.
Personally, if the Spanish Inquisition were trying to get me to accept Christ and confess my sins, I'd be one dead motherfucker first. But if I were a Christian, and I wasn't a political conservative, I'd be deeply hurt and offended by this bumper sticker.
So here's what I want to do. Everyone propose your counter-bumper sticker to the one above. It should start "You can't be a Christian and...", but it should obviously be a dig at conservatives. It can be false, or ridiculous, or inflammatory, or insulting, or perfectly fair and dead-on-balls accurate. Fair and accurate would be preferred, but a ridiculous and insulting slogan would be fine since it would point out the ridiculousness of the original.
Have at it!

If Soundgarden is perfectly fine with playing together with Tad Doyle on vocals, why the fuck is he wasting his life promoting the single worst album of all time? Holy shit, he has to be the stupidest motherfucker on earth.
