can Land of the Dead be out of my theaters but The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl remain. The world is a strange place.

I was looking forward to seeing LOTD because I had rented all the Dead Movies from Netflix and watched them. I wanted them to be fresh in my mind and then go see LOTD. This is horseshit. 3 weeks in the theater.

Its simple hollywood economics. Bland childrens movies and their subsequent happy meal tie-ins sell way better than zombie movies.

guess you'll have to find a theater in another town or wait til it comes out on DVD.

After seeing Land of the Dead, there is a good chance Sharkboy and Lavagirl is a better movie. I love Romero, but the movie was just terrible. The Dawn of the Dead remake and 28 Days later were much better Zombie flicks. The learning Zombies, the Zombies feeling sorry for each other, the contrived pseudo 9/11 references, trying to make us feel sorry for the Zombies. The whole thing was just a bad, bad idea. It has a few great gory sequences in it, so if that is all you are looking for then it may be entertaining.

I'm sorry to hear that man. Unfortunately, it just couldn't survive financially in blockbuster season at the box office. I thought it was a great movie and I really hope you're still enthused to see it when it comes out on dvd. It's way better than almost every other zombie movie that has been released since Day.
