Would someone remind me why I write to Richard Burr and Elizabeth Dole? All I ever get back is a letter that says, "Thank you for writing me, but I'm going to vote exactly opposite of how you would like." I'm never going to get anything different in return. They're always going to be firmly up Bush's ass. Hell, they were alright out by the morning news saying how much they loved Judge Roberts, but I still send them letters. :?

I've gotten worse - I get a thank you for your letter, yadda and then end up on a mailing list of "crap", forever......

Make me wonder if it's time to vote for the other side next time a vote for Congress people happens,..... scary thought!

Seriously, is there any point in me, the near-communist, writing my ultra-conservative, fall-into-party-lines Republicans with my opinions? I mean, they're supposed to represent the citizens of North Carolina, but they're never going to take my opinion into account.

If your letter was wrapped around a check it may have more influence.
