CAMPBELL: You're talking about bombing Mecca
TANCREDO: Yeah. What if you said – what if you said, we recognize this is the ultimate threat to the United States, therefore this is the ultimate response. I mean, I don’t know, I’m playing – throwing out there some ideas.
Wow. Tancredo released a clarification saying the statements were just hypothetical and " I do not advocate this."
So who's the winner? We'll call it a tie for now.
Remember when conservatives threw a fit over Dick Durbin's comments? Conservatives claimed Durbin's comments were broadcast into the Muslim world and were used to incite violence and hatred against the United States. When a US congressman goes on radio and throws out the idea of taking "out their holy sites," how does that represent us?

Yeah. I agree. The second statement in the original post is much worse. I can see what the guy is talking about here - what's the only thing worse than a group of people who want ethnic cleansing and the establishment of a master race? The people who don't want anything here at all but a big black char.
There's only one type of people worse than political extremists - it's the religious ones.
completely disagree. the second statement is just a stupid and ignorant response to a loaded question. the first statement sounds like something a holocaust denier would say. it's putrid.

I agree. As bad as bombing holy sites would be, I don't think it even compares to killing millions of Jews.
