: the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person
Ok, I know we have had threads that have skirted around this issue, but I wanted to start this thread so that we could share the worst propaganda we have been exposed to, Left or Right, by political leaders, news media, or just everyday assholes spewing shit they were mass emailed(with no facts). Think of it as cleansing your soul of this stupid shit!
ok me first-
source:Sean Hannity, "The British gover't cant afford bullets for their military. They cant even afford blanks to use for practice. They train by pointing their guns at targets and yell bang."
I swear that I fucking heard this, what an asshole. We all know this is bullshit. I mean they are the only ones that have gone with us to Iraq and this is the thanks they get from war profiteers like Haniity, prick prick prick prick.................

That sounds more like a very tastleless joke than propaganda. More context would help out (then again, I can't listen to Hannity for more than 10-20 seconds at a time, so I understand).
well I had posted the rest in an earlier thread. He was going on about how the bombings were bound to happen in England. Because they have an open society, and they didn't have the balls to have a patriot act type of resolution. Then he went on to say how their economy was shit, blah blah blah...Then I tuned out. Later I was like "did I hear that right?" I have searched for transcripts with no luck, just to prove that to myself.

Ah, I see. I don't really see that much as propaganda, but more a simple (but rather misinformed) opinion. What else is new with Hannity, though?

Jacktor, didn't I tell you to stop watching that irrelevant jackass? You can do it. I have faith in you. You know that anything he says is going to piss you off, so why subject yourself to it?

I'll revise my previous post.
Air America Radio: XM Satellite Radio ch. 167
... or at least ...
XM Public Radio: XM Satellite Radio ch. 133

I couldn't think of a better source for a thread about propaganda myself.
Better propaganda based on truth rather than propaganda based of trasparent lies.

I do listen to AAR. But I feel like I couldn't yell at anyone for listening to Hannity if I didn't know what was on his show. But really if I have to listen to one more person say "Hi, Sean, your a great american!" I will drive off a highway over pass.

Did I just hear "propaganda" and "truth" in the same sentence?
The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.
It doesn't have to be lies ... just biased. Hannity uses lies.

i think its propaganda considering it over the airwaves. He is broadcasting a message. Whether its opinion or not.

My brother-in-law is in the Irish Guards Regiment, and I can tell you now that that is about as likely as George Bush being caught on video with Michael Jackson's dick in his mouth.
Did he even offer up any evidence for this shite?? Or was it all narrative?
Does he even realise that in a combat situation pissing of your only ally is not the sensible thing to do??
