This was my failed attempt at a political comic. This is CAPTAIN PATRIOT! He was going to drive around the world in a house-sized SUV and do things that were strangely similar to whatever George W. Bush was doing in a given week. He was going to talk about how he was saving the world and shit, but he was actually just fucking it up.

I guess I never had the ambition to keep it up.

I also never had a forum for him, so I thought I'd stick him up here for discussion and/or just to use RM as a time capsule.

I think I wrote one strip, but I don't know what happened to it.

His car would have those slathered across the back, but they wouldn't say "Bring Our Troops Home." I think he has a yellow "support our troops", a flag ribbon, a combo yellow-flag ribbon, a POW-MIA, one that says "support our president and our troops," and he has a sticker in the window that says "git 'r done."

I think I saw Captain Patriot today...he almost ran me off the road in his stupid H2...

Good thing he had all those magnetic pretend ribbons on his vehicle...otherwise I might not know if should "support the troops" or not.

I seem to remember in the strip I drew, his actions resulted in the death of a lot of Iraqi women and children ....

You drew a strip about Saddam Hussein?!?! Wow, that is fair and balanced!

Yeah, thanks for judging something you've never even seen. Your regular, negative comments about Air American, Michael Moore, etc. are suddenly flooded with legitimacy. Besides, it's my personal artistic expression. I'll bias it as I see fit.

Wait a minute -- I'm not judging anything. When you post on a public message board your political agenda, however, expect to have a few people comment. You're more than welcome to do as you please. I'm just happy you recognize the inherent bias in what you do.

Bias Unacceptable = News, Elected Officials

Bias Acceptable = Art, Entertainment, Op-Ed

Do we agree on that? Anyhow, my comic probably did have bias and should have, but you don't know that. You didn't read it. Hell, I can't even remember it. Had you commented on my obvious agenda, I would have laughed with you, but you didn't.

I don't get this one. One of the very essences of being in public office is having an agenda.
