Hey, I said second inning, not fifth inning -- I'm a Cubs' fan, not a Dodgers' fan.

greg maddux was the fucking man, now he's a starter who generally turns in four to five good innings and one to two mediocre innings before leaving a game.

No, he is the fucking man. Name another starter in the Cubs' rotation over the last two years that has more wins than Maddux. As far as I'm concerned, if the guy is still winning 15 games a year at 39, he's the fucking man.

not to mention, he's probably the last pitcher to win 300 ballgames.

stats as of 7/25/05.
w-l bb k era whip
maddux - 8-7 21 82 4.55 1.27

now let's look at your team... the phillies
the starting pitchers...
myers - 8-5 40 126 3.24 1.17
lieber - 9-9 27 79 4.88 1.35
lidle - 8-9 26 81 4.63 1.32
wolf - 6-4 26 61 4.39 1.41
padilla - 5-8 41 50 5.52 1.70
tejada - 2-2 36 38 2.90 1.39
floyd - 1-1 12 4 14.14 2.07

and i'll even throw in wagner for good measure
wagner - 3-1 14 49 2.09 0.97

so besides myers and wagner... who's having a good season?
