Now that the Pats/Steelers game is over, lets start this a new thread for the Eagles/Steelers!

I'm VERY cautious about this game. The Eagles are tough!!!

I hope that Pittsburgh can continue to play their game of run and great defense, while throwing efficiently (without turn-overs) enough to get the job done.

What are your thoughts?

Can the Steelers stop McNabb/TO/Westbrook?

Yes they can. I don't even think Westbrook is going to play, but that doesn't matter anyway.

If the steelers can stop New England, they can certainly stop the Eagles.

The Eagles haven't looked stellar the last 2 weeks in a row. As the Patriots have shown it's pretty tough to go a calendar year without losing at least once.

I don't know who if anyone can cover TO, but Hines Ward catches everything, Burress is a deep threat obviously and Duce has been excellent, not to mention the biggest part Rothlesburger.

Are the Eagles fantastic? Certainly. Are they unbeatable? not even close.

The Steelers are a hell of a lot better team than the Browns or the Ravens.

I fully expect it to be a midseason classic. Well worth the price of admission

Plus you have to think about the many x factors on the offensive side of the ball for Pittsburgh as I've said a few times before. Just because Burress and Ward might be covered, if it's a three receiver formation you've still got Randle El AND most likely a tight end in either Riemersma or Tuman who have both had decent years so far. Plus on third down, you have Verron Haynes coming out of the backfield. Depth, depth, depth.

I know the Eagles are 7-0, and you dont get that way by luck. But personally i am not that impressed by them. Todays performance by the Steelers has me thinking that they have a chance to go all the way. I think the steelers will take it.

Westbrook probably isn't going to play, but you are crazy if you don't think it hurts the Eagles. The Eagles have a 36 year old RB and an undrafted RB playing behind Westbrook.

PLEASE CHANGE THE NAME OF THIS THREAD TO:

Billy vs. Philly

It's the only way it can be.
