There's one that keeps playing on Air America where this mother is telling her daughter that she can't go to the park after school, and she has to go to some old woman's house until her mom gets home ... lest she begin smoking pot at the park after school.
C'mon!! Who doesn't let their kid go play at the park after school??? That's stupid.
Feel free to use this thread for hating/loving drug commercials.

i always hated those "this is your brain on drugs" commercials. and not to mention in practically EVERY after school special there was always some drug dealer pushing drugs on kids by offering him freebies. No drug dealer that i have ever come in contact with in my entire life has offered me free drugs.

Yeah, fucking bastards. I want my free drugs. And I wanted high school to be fun like in the movies too.

With all my crazed affection for Naomi Watts, I forgot about this chick. I remember watching a teen movie a few years ago just to see her. She's so incredibly sexy. She has about three feet of footage on the masturbation reel.

Are any kids really affected by these commercials? Gimme a break. They are all laughable. It's a waste of money and an insult to childrens intelligence. I was going to type the whole Bill Hicks skit about "your brain on drugs" but my cd started skipping right in the middle of it.
The anti-cigarette ones are even worse. Everytime i see one of those i automatically light up a butt. It's gotten to the point where my wife hurries up and changes the channel when one of those commercials comes on the TV. If i catch one second of those stupid ads i end up smoking away. It basically reminds me that i haven't smoked in the last 10 minutes.

Another useless governement ad trying me to quit something or start exercising more. Why has it come to where the government has to put out a message saying fat children need to get off their fat ass and do something?

No you don't need a doctor
no one else can heal your soul.
it seems that the current crop of parents don't know how to talk to their kids about anything, nor can they make thier kids shut off the fucking TV and make them go outside for some healthy kid time play.
so the baby boomer gov't makes public service commericals for the baby boomer parents who have no clue and can't talk to their kids, and then the PSA's are seen by the kids of said boomers, so the boomers don't need to do a thing at all.
let the almighty power of TV make everything okay.

I think the Truth Commercials actually make nonsmokers want to start smoking, just to spite their preachy overdramatic nonsense.
My FAVORITE anti drug commercials were the marijuana ones from a year or two ago. Where they would show the same scene 4 times- 3 times where all the consequences of smoking pot were silly... then the 4th led to tragedy.
the best one? The two 14 year old boys (or so) in the dads study...
"Hey Man, your sisters hot"
"shut up"
Hey man, if your parents get divorced... who gets the fish?" (i love that line most)
and then the one kid shoots himself in the head.
I also enjoy the one about "The Paper you thought you wrote"
So some guys were all hanging out and were like, im not doin nothing, lets make a country or something"

not true
If the truth is allowed to be overdramatic... why cant I?
have your father call you at 6am in the morning (3am his local time) to tell you he just had to pull his wife (your stepmother) off of life support, then tell me its being over dramatic

I actually watched that Josie and the Pussy cats movie just to see her . The only thing that saves my soul is that it was on stolen satellite.
