Here's the deal. USC is ranked #1, Texas is ranked #2. I've been a diehard Texas fan my whole life, but I'm going to USC. Would I be wrong to still rep for Texas, or is it acceptable? If the two keep their rankings and end up in the championship, what then? Goddamn football teams.

All i'm saying is this......
USC would destroy Texas if they met in the Championship game.

Obviously USC would win the game. That doesn't mean you shouldn't still root for Texas though. Stick with your roots man. I realize you're going to be attending SC, but don't abandon Texas just so you can jump on the SC bandwagon.
it's not going to matter. texas isn't as good as they were last year.
my conundrum with you is 1. do i rip on you for being a texas fan and losing five straight to OU, or 2. do i cower like a girl because you'll be going to usc games?
until you've spent two years in california i'd classify you as a horn.

At least we have the Rose Bowl victory.

ou has one too, and it wasn't even a lucky one.
UT was probably recovering from another holiday bowl loss that day or something.
Lucky my ass. That was the best game of last year by far, and you guys got positively raped! Same thing would have probably happened to us though, so I will leave you with a simple nana nana boo boo and continue on.
To Parchy: Division II teams are in another thread.

two average teams playing a close game isn't all that fantastic.

just go with " they are my two favorite college football teams", apparently it is OK to have two or more favorite teams/sport around here
was that sarcastic.......its sport, what on earth is wrong with rooting for more than one team?
Personally, I think it is lame. You root for a team and root against all others. Of course you may not hate some of the oposing teams as some of the others but this "well my favorite team is out of it but at least my "other" team is still in it" is kind of gay.
