if you are absolutley sure that Team A will beat Team B, put a high number on it.

if you are unsure, put a low number on it. think of the number as dollars. how much would you put on your pick?

The higher number you pick for a game, the more confident you are that your pick for that game will win. Say I pick 16 (the max) for the Steelers to beat Tenn. in Week 1... if the Steelers win that game, I get 16 points... if they lose, you don't get those points (I think that's how it works at least)... the idea is to put next to nothing points-wise on the closer games (Philly-ATL for example) and more on the unbalanced ones..
