i think its a bit early to get all fired up about hansen. He's yet to throw a big league pitch. HOwever, i have really liked what we've seen out of pappelbon.

At this point he'd be worth a try. They have 2 reliable arms - Myers and Timlin, and the latter isn't reliable with inherited runners - and neither is a closer.

It's more inconsistent than bad. I don't want to turn this thread into a Tigers' thread, but they have made several leading pitchers look bad this year. Then again, they have made several mediocre pitchers look like Cy Young. My point is, they have lit up the Red Sox pitching staff in their past two series. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the Tigers are putting up 10-12 runs against the Sox bullpen.

You watch, today they'll struggle to score 2 runs.
