i'm going to try to follow my dream to be the lead singer of a band. i looked on craigslist.com and it seems alot of people are looking for an amateur singer with decent guitar skills.

what do y'all think?

Only if you write lyrics like these:
Quote:
There was a frail syrup dripping off
His lap danced lapel, punctuated by her
Decrepit prowl she washed down the hatching
Gizzard soft as a mane of needles
His orifice icicles hemorrhaged
By combing her torso to a pile
Perspired the trophy shelves made room for his collapse
She was a mink handjob in sarcophagus heels

i can only hope to write lyrics like that one day.

i can't really tell if the lyrics i write are good or if they suck. i usually write some, think they suck, then throw them out.

Don't throw your old stuff out, ever. You can usually salvage atleast one idea/line from every shitty thing you write.

kurt cobain cleaned up by salvaging bits and pieces from various shit.

the bests artists are people who are fed up with something, and convey that through music. Whether its society, the government, the state of music, love, etc.

there you go. i once thought love was the only thing to get passionate about. I once thought that you had to scream to get your message through.

just make good music thats real, and chances are, people will relate.
