QB Peyton Manning, Ind
RB Tiki Barber, NYG
RB/WR Julius Jones, Dal
WR Joe Horn, NO
WR Hines Ward, Pit
TE Alge Crumpler, Atl
OP Chad Pennington, NYJ
D/ST Patriots
K Jeff Wilkins, StL

Bench Brandon Stokley, Ind WR
Bench Larry Johnson, KC RB
Bench Jimmy Smith, Jac WR
Bench Brian Griese, TB QB
Bench Mike Anderson, Den RB
Bench Travis Taylor, Min WR
Bench Nick Goings, Car RB
Bench Keary Colbert, Car WR

I picked up Griese on accident, but I could have done worse. I'm going to try to trade for Priest since the guy with him doesn't have jack shit for other stuff that I would want (for Larry Johnson), and somebody is a huge Cowboys fan so I'm going to try to make a trade involving Jones where I would end up with Shaun Alexander. Then there's a guy that has 4 really good QB's, will probably try to snag one after the previous two trades mentioned from him.

Any other ideas/tips?

i like your team a lot. i would pretty much stay pat with your roster. wait for priest to get hurt, then trade johnson at peak value.

strong line up, id try to trade pennington to someone who doesnt have a good qb b/c he could be a ff starter.

my draft was last night, here's who i got in the order i picked them

mcgahee
edge james
torry holt
andre johnson
larry fitzgerald
vick
philadelphia D
lj smith
jeff wilkins
c pennington
rod smith
jj arington
doug jolley
minnesota D
deshaun foster

the only question marks i have are fitzgerld and jj arington b/c i dunno why the cards will do this year. im pretty happy w/ everything else. i dunno how i got mcgahee and james, but im happy w/ it.

getting Vick that late might be a huge steal.

my draft's tonight, still haven't decided who my keepers will be

am I the only one involved in a draft where it's an auction format?

be ready to get rid of Mike Anderson after about 2 weeks...by then Tatum Bell will have won the job (and that's at the latest)

basically, instead of "drafting", on yoru turn you nominate a player

i.e., if it's my turn, I say Peyton Manning, $10, and people shout out bids, increasing by at least a dollar on the current high bid.

we work off of a salary cap of $270 (funny money, not real money), but the salary cap is only in effect on draft night

it gives everyone a chance at the best players (outside of keepers; to keep someone you take their cap value last year and add $5 to it), while also requiring skill and thought about how much a guy is worth, how much you have left, etc...you have to have at least $1 left for every position on your roster you need to fill (so if you have $10 left, and 4 spots to fill, the most you could spend is $7 on one guy, so that you have a dollar each for the other 3 guys)

I'd start Mike Anderson for the first game against Miami. He is going to start for Denver. If he doesn't do well, he's going to be riding the bench while Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne take over.

i like your team, filly guy. although it probably wouldve been better to take burleson if he was available when you picked either dre or larry.
