I watch this show, and I've come to a conclusion about why these people seem so lame: it's like a rockstar stereotype. Whenever you see a commercial with like a guitarist with his rockstar jeans on, it's just like... " ugh. " But all of these people are the stereotypes of rock.
There's a dumb black dude that didn't know the song Everlong before he sang it. He thinks he's gonna bring soul to rock, but he doesn't even know rock to begin with.
Jordis is good, but she did Dream On and she tried to do that highpitched screech and she couldn't do it. It was shameful to see her laying around during the squeeling.
DeAnna has that stupid voice slur that some bands have. Like Eddie Vedder has it, but she's an old lady that makes it sound bad.

The rest are like ... not even worth commenting on. I can't stand it when they caterwail in rock songs. It's like Mariah Carey doing a classic rock song...

I watch it for some reason, but I think everybody on the show is a fucking wannabe. What the hell are you thinking, Navarro?

And the only people that can sing are Jordis (though she fucked up pretty bad on Dream On), Marty (but he's sort of a one-trick pony), and Mig.

I've watched it here and there, the odd performance is good but most is shit. The houseband is pretty decent tho.

I like Mig, and the fact that the house band's drumkit says "House Band". That's just pure gold.

I can't stand Dave Navaro. He's such a loser.

i really enjoy this show. at first i flipped it on and was like smells like teen spirit??? WHA??/ but i gave it a chance the next week and realized what was going on. i'm hooked, won't care about it after it's over, but i may go see the chick from chicago play around town, she was hot. marty... eh. not into the big killers, vines stuff. jordis... yummy. and of course suzee rocked the shit out of it. that show where mig played piano was filled with the best performances that they all had. sometimes, song selection hurts people. deanna was booted cuz she wrote a song with ty, but it was basically ty's song, so they couldn't get rid of him, and suzee's been singing inxs songs for weeks. jd is a sleeper to win it i think, if he doesn't get fucked by the voters.

I'd place my bets on him. INXS said that he really knew about the competition or music, I can't remember, but they respect him. I like him because he was saying that the other people's original songs sucked.

The WORST thing about the show is the crowd. If a guy gives criticization, they all go AWWWW or BOOOO and they boo the people. Then if they get put in the bottom 3, they start boo'ing. They boo, they aww, they cheer, and they clap at EVERYTHING. I think they're the reason Dave and INXS act like pussies when a guy fucks up his song. They always go, " This isn't your song. Blah blah blah. " They're so weak. The show needs a Simon Cowell because they dance around the fact way too much. They practically complimented Jordis on her shit Dream On rendition.

I've heard 2 performances that sound better than most of the stuff in commercial rock radio.

marty's mr. brightside... he pulled that out of his ass to stay... i think he's kinda gettin kicked off, and they can't pull the trigger cuz he's good with the inxs stuff...

Jordis is obviously the most talented singer but i don't see a female pulling off the INXS songs in concert. Maybe 1 or 2 songs but not a whole set. Realistically, nobody should even attempt to fill Hutchences' shoes, but at least it would come off a bit better if it was a male. I bet they pick that JD guy and he gets thrown off he tour after 3 shows.

I tend to disagree with your comments on Jordis. I think she has a fantastic voice and she's smokin hot but my vote for most talented would go to Ty. He obviously will not win because he is too theatrical and dramatic but based on skills, I'd give it to Ty.
I do agree that they will pick JD and that the whole venture will crash and burn.
Although, at the end of the day, I don't really give a shit because INXS is not relevant to me whatsoever. I don't listen to the old stuff and I won't listen to the new stuff. It's just on...

I enjoy this show for the most part, but they need to stop with the Nirvana songs.

I think Jordis sounds alot like Pink. And Marty singing Live - I Alone was okay except for the chorus when he screamed the words. Mig or JD will probably win.

They must prep the audience beforehand to get them to be that excited about the performances. It's just crazyness.
