so, i guess non-suicide bombers don't drive quickly or drive older cars? and i guess one wouldn't be expecting to see iraqis in iraq.

maybe they were justified in doing it. i certainly don't know. it just seems that someone always mangles these things. instead of coming out and saying "yeah, we shot these people. but, we were reacting to what we thought was a dangerous situation. it shouldn't have happened, and we're sorry that it did." would have been better than this. this just seems so cold and clinical.

exactly what i was thinking.......instead of trying to justify an innocent death at least apologize or show some compassion.....ridiculous.

The journo probably wanted to get from point a to point b as quickly as possible, with the way the insurgents have gone after the foreigners, they'd be wanting to minimise the time they spend out in the unsafe open.

God forbid there be locals driving in cars in their own country.
