Scotty is sitting this season out, and for us Devs fans this is just shitty news. Besides Marty, is there another player who symbolizes the Devils better? nope.

come back, Scotty.....
and hockey fans everywhere rejoice
if the Devils lose every game this year 11-0, it wouldn't be enough to make up for the torture that franchise put hockey fans through over the last decade

it was worth it for the THREE cups they won.
was it worth it to kill the sport for it?

yes, especially since I only care about hockey if the Devils make the SC Finals.
but really, the Devils killed the sport? More complaining about the trap? one team runs it with ultimate success and other teams try and copy it but cant quite copy it that well....hockey was boring long before the Devils ran the trap. hockey's problem is that its HOCKEY

evidently someone didn't watch the 94 Stanley Cup playoffs, when two teams with skill (the Canucks and Rangers) fought for 7 games and played terrific hockey...hitting, scoring, goaltending, defense, offense, passing, skating, that series had it all
then the lockout happened, killing the momentum
then the Devils happened, killing the sport
hockey is the best sport on earth, bar none...anyone who watched it pre-trap and loved it pre-trap would agree
I can't wait to see how "good" Martin Brodeur is next year when he's not facing 15 shots a game
