You missed:

2 awesome PJ shows.
1 (probably 2, but I only went to 1) awesome Tom Petty/Black Crowes concert.
A lot of fun after the Gorge show
I met Nick, Jan, Julie, Julie, Tammy, Shayan, Kyle, Andy, Chrissy, Corey (bammer), as well as significant others of some of these folks. Here's a picture:

I heard the following Canadian phrases uttered while in Vancouver:
"Ohh Jeez"
"Right aboat now"
It took almost 2 hours to get into Canada
I didn't get high in Vancouver. How's that for irony?
The Black Crowes are back and better than ever.
Tom Petty plays a "greatest hits" setlist because that's all he writes is hits.

We've got almost 1,000 pictures to sort through, but here's a quick one of Mr and Mrs. AS on our balcony in St. John.

Image

We left Seattle on Tuesday Aug 23rd at 11:30 pm. Our redeye flight landed us in Chicago Wed Aug 24 around 5am. We hopped another flight to Charlotte, arriving in the late morning, and finally arriving in St. Thomas USVI at 2pm Wednesday afternoon.
Our cab got us to the hotel at Bolongo Bay about an hour later, we unpacked and the first thing I did was hit the water. I have a great photo of my trunks being pulled down by the waves, but I fear a photo of my ass may result in an RM vacation ;)
Thursday Aug 25 we joined some of the family and friends that had joined us there for a tour of St Thomas. Our driver was a local guy who stopped by his favorite bars and secret hideouts, giving us a bit of an insider's look at the island. After the tour, we headed into the town of Charlotte Amelie to pick up our marriage license and do some shopping. The liquor prices there were amazing. Bottles of Cruzan rum for $4, Cointreau for $16..just crazy. We stocked up :)
Thursday night was the drunken debauchery night for all-times-sake. There was 18 of us at a bar on the beach, hammered beyond all belief and we took over the kareoke festivities. They had this drink called a "Voodoo Juice" that consisted of 10 shots of rum, juice, and fruit that came in a bucket. I had 2 of those along with shots, beer, you name it. All 18 of us ended up in the ocean, fully clothed. Palm tree humping, sand wrestling, foot races, and brusies that I have no recollection getting.
Friday was beach day. Relaxing and eating by the water. Our hotel set up a snorkel scavenger hunt for us in the reefs of the bay, what were we searching for? Rum! 18 bottles hidden in the waters :)
Friday night we took a sunset cruise on a 53' catamaran off of Sapphire Beach. Just awesome floating around with good music and an open bar.
Friday evening after the cruise I said goodbye to my fiance for the last time before our ceremony. After leaving her at our room with her sisters, I made my way to the beach bar for a night of Texas Hold 'Em. 2 of my first 3 hands I got dealt a pair of aces, not too shabby. I won one tournament and came in third in the other, I won something like $300.
After all of our family and friends retired for the night, I went to the beach alone. I pulled out a lounge chair into the water and laid there with a few beers listening to the water and watching the stars.
Sat Aug 27 was wedding day. My day began with an awesome banana pancake breakfast and then a kickass hour massage. I spend most of my day at the poolside bar just chilling out.
The ceremony was just before sunset and was amazing. Directly on the beach, we had an aisle of palm fronds, a steel drum band for music, and 95 degree temperatures :P
The tone for the ceremony was set when my bride arrived with her mother, both already crying. You've never seen a bigger cry-fest than my wedding, all of us were a big happy mess. I choked up over and over again, our friend barely made it through her reading and was bawling throughout. It was amazing, I wish I could do it again so it wouldn't go by so fast.
Following the wedding, we had a champagne toast on the beach immediately followed by photos. Dinner was family-style with torches in the sand. Caribbean-style food followed by Key lime pie AND cake for dessert. We ended up with so much cake that we decided to give it to strangers on the beach. We must have been quite a scene with her in her gown and me in my suit presenting people with slices of rum cake :)
Sunday Aug 28 we visisted the Coral World aquarium (so many iguanas running around, whoa!), snorkeled at Coki Beach, walked at Magen's Bay, and had dinner at Victor's Hideout in Frenchtown with most of our group. Victor's was amazing West Indian food with a view of the harbor at Charlotte Amalie, just spectacular.
Monday Aug 29 we said goodbye to family and friends as we headed for St John. The ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay was stunning. As soon as we hit St John we knew it was only going to get better. The relaxed mood, the lack of crowds, the strong drinks :)
Tuesday Aug 30 we rented a jeep for a trip around St John. First thing was a hike downhill nearly 3 miles to Reef Bay and the nearby sugar mill plantation ruins, waterfall, petroglyphs and mating hermit crabs :!:
After snorkeling for a few hours at Reef Bay we hiked UPHILL 3 miles in 95 degree weather, dodging hand-sized spiders and losing electrolytes along the way.
After our bout with dehydration we drove to Coral Bay and had a few beers at Skinny Legs, St John's official Red Sox nation bar. More driving took us past Maho Bay, Cinnamon Bay, and Caneel Bay before returning to Cruz Bay for some more money spending at Mongoose Junction, a small pedestrian mall with awesome shops.
Wednesday Aug 31 we grabbed a charter boat to the British Virgin Isles. our first stop was Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda to clear customs and walk around the harbor. We then visisted the Baths, easily the highlight of the trip. The Baths are house-sized granite boulders that are piled along the south end of Virgin Gorda. We swam between them, climbed around on them, and jumped off of them into the turquoise waters. Back on the boat for a stop at Cooper Island (population 13) for a great lunch at the only development on that small key and more strong cocktails. After lunch was more snorkeling at at small area off of Norman Island called The Indians. This was the best snorkeling of the trip. Dolphins, octopus, squid, turtles, seas of silversides, tarpon, barracuda...
Thurs Sept 1 we rented a small dinghy for a more intimate look at the north side of St John. We snorkeled in and out of small inlets and bays all day with our packed lunch and beverages. More amazing coral and sealife than I could imagine. Dinner that night at one of island resident Kenny Chesney's favorite haunts, then drinks on the water until we grew tired.
Sadly, Fri Sept 2 we had to leave our paradise for New York. During the morning we were able to get a good meal, visit the National Park HQ, and take great pictures in the village of Cruz Bay before our ferry ride to Charlotte Amalie and our plane back to the states.
Sat Sept 3 we spent driving around Buffalo gathering last minute supplies for our reception the following day. Our nephew was christened at a local church and we had a huge family picnic afterwards to celebrate and goof off.
Sun Sept 4 we left early for Beaver Island St Park, spending hours setting up our shelter for our guests. Everything went fantastic, our catering was amazing, we had suprise guests, the weather was great, no kids got stung by bees and no one got drunk..ok a few people got drunk :)
Mon Sept 5 we sorted through our leftover party stuff, visited friends, and had another family dinner at the Boston Hotel.
Tuesday Sept 6 was a long day of flying, unpacking, and an early bedtime.

It would take forever to fill in details, it was an amazing wedding, a spectacular honeymoon, and a wonderful and loving reception. I couldn't have dreamed of things going this well.
