wow. either someone has a ton of time on their hands or these pro-life groups are just itching to use anything to try and prove their point. seriously. a fetus shaped hurricane? i, uh, guess so.

Image

and i'm sure the fact that california has earthquakes has nothing to do with the fact that it sits on fault lines, and that earthquakes often lead to mudslides.

and the attack on the world trade center (ignoring, of course, the pentagon and the plane crash in pennsylvania) had more to do with abortion than some radical extremists attacking evil westerners.

and florida getting pounded with hurricanes has less to do with the fact that it pretty much sits out in the ocean than it does abortion clinics.

i guess this shouldn't surprise me, but you know, it kind of does.

Are there no abortion centers in Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, or Ohio. Those are pretty safe states.

I was just watching Hannity and Colmes and this president of a Christian aid organization was on.

He started off by saying the looting in NO was.....no lie here...."Because we have taken God out of schools and teh morals in society are nonexistent"

Then said something nice "Churches need to step up and house 10 familes a piece which would put a dent in the problem".....only followed by
"catholic churches to take in 10 catholic families and other denominations take in 10 familes also"....disgusting

i only get angry watching FNC.....but i keep coming back cuz im waiting for the day Ashton Kutcher comes out and its all one big punk'd.

i don't really know how many churches are in the area, but it seems like they'd have to scatter people pretty far away to get them taken care of like that.

i can kind of agree with him about morals not being quite so prevalent in today's society, but i'm not sure that taking god out of the schools caused it. i see some pretty horrible children that aren't of school age. i think that if you go in horrible, you'll come out horrible and corrupt a few while you're there.

i just don't like this...using a horrible thing to promote your own agenda. there's a thread about the al-qaeda doing it, a thread about the pro-lifers doing it, and now this one.

Quote:
Antiabortion group celebrates Katrina's work

The Iraqi branch of al-Qaida apparently issued a statement Sunday in which it declared that God had answered "the prayers of oppressed" by unleashing Hurricane Katrina on the United States. We heard TV pundits complain that the statement was an attempt to score political points from tragedy. Fair enough, but when will they say the same about the religious right -- or at least start to demand that the more moderate voices on the right repudiate the rantings of their fringe?

As we noted last week, the anti-abortion group Columbia Christians for Life claimed that Katrina is God's punishment for America's tolerance of abortion rights. The proof? The group says a satellite image of Katrina as the hurricane struck land in Louisiana looks just like the ultrasound image of a 6-week-old fetus.

The group is out with a new message now, and it's claiming victory. New Orleans had five operating abortion clinics before Katrina, the group says. Now it has none. "As sad as it is to see the heart-aching loss of life and the suffering of people in New Orleans, " the Columbia Christians say in their latest e-mail message, "we can only give praise to God for sparing the lives of the innocent unborn who have been murdered by the tens of thousands in New Orleans and the rest of the state of Louisiana, year-after-year-after-year, despite prophetic warnings from men of God."

The group continues: "God is not mocked. We reap what we sow ... The city of New Orleans has sown innocent bloodshed and violence in the womb for years and years and has now reaped bloodshed and violence on her streets. May the people in the city of New Orleans be broken by God's Holy Law, receive, by God's grace, his gift of faith ... and receive his great salvation through Christ alone, repenting of their sins, and receiving Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) as their Lord and Savior. Hallelu-Yah ! Then, may New Orleans be delivered from her many sins!"

in a NEUVO riche/Red County area outside of the city were i live they are bringing in evacuees. The people of this wonderful god fearing community have been calling the mayors office asking them not to bring the evacuees in to the community because they will bring crime. The mayor had a little press conference yesterday and said if they people in the community didn't like it they could leave.

Christ is a corpse and God is dead, so we still win.
