I like that album a lot. And I love the b-sides too. And Second Coming. And so on..

Corduroy would surely have approved of this thread.

Fav song: She Bangs the Drums

I love their s/t. I Wanna Be Adored is one of the best songs ever recorded.

This is one reason why Corduroy should be brought back, he was one of the few people on this board who truly appreciated the Stone Roses greatness. He even loved Second Coming, which is indeed a fantastic album, even if it doesn't hold a candle to the S/T.

Were you even born when this was released?

In April '89 I was 16 myself :) . Fools Gold was the big one, stunning recording then and now.

I Am The Resurrection is one of my top 5 songs of all time. Just fucking incredible. It has that incredibly poppy catchy verse, and then it breaks down into that complex jazzy jam thing. Awesome.

That song Billy put on my tape is alright, I'll listen to their S/T when I get the chance.

The Endless Stone Roses Love Thread has been around for 3 months and is only 13 posts long. Does it really qualify as "endless?"

Good idea. "So Young" (the song on your tape) really doesn't even touch the Roses greatness. You need to hear "I Wanna Be Adored" "Made of Stone" and "I Am The Resurrection" (ll on the S/T)

The remixed/remastered tracks on the "Very Best of the Stone Roses" sound stunning.

All those great songs sound even better.
