I'm just glad that people like samick and sleightofhandpj and others are proving themselves to be exactly what we have all assumed. It just shows that underneath it all the red states are very very different on an intellectual level. Comments like "I don't care how many dead Iraqi's there are" just make my day.
seriously I feel better, it's not that we lost, there just are more dumb people out there.
and they claim moral superiority? hmmm i do wonder about that

I'll just quote two of my posts and go from there:

I don't know if I can ever "cool off" from this.
I didn't vote for Bush "just because he's a Republican". I was not partisan when it came down to my final decision. I have serious disagreements with the Bush Administration.
But above all else, I don't like being lied to. I don't like being mislead. And no matter what anybody says, that's exactly what I feel Bush did to me.
No. No, I will not cool off.
I will sit and I will watch these next 4 years and hope for success and progress - I will hope that Bush gets it right this time around because that's all I can do now.
And...

Seems like alot of people have forgotten.
Do you remember the day when Condoleezza looked into a camera and said, "Iraq does not have the capabilities to produce weapons of mass destruction."?
Do you remember the day when Colin Powell looked into a camera and said, "Iraq does not have the capabilities to produce weapons of mass desruction."?
Do you remember the day when Don Rumsfeld looked into a camera and said, "Iraq does not have the capabilities to produce weapons of mass destruction."?
I remember those days - I remember them very well. And then I remember every one of them turning right around and telling the American people that if we don't act now, Iraq (the third world country crippled by international sanctions) was a great terrorist threat to America, and they were 100% certain that Iraq had those weapons of mass destruction.
Lies. Lies. And more lies.
And about 17,000 people are dead now because of it (including 1000 of our soldiers).
People always say, "Never forget, never forget" with regard to 9/11 and we haven't. But unfortunately, we've forgotten what happened in the days and months preceding it.

i remember those days too, as i remember in 2000 when he said it wasn't the role of the US to police the world or commit soldiers unless there was a clear imminent threat that everyone agreed to

Now that we have a thread designed for this.. I feel the need to express myself in a capitalized haiku:
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY VOTED IN THAT FUCKTARD AGAIN. FUCK YOU, OHIO.
[I hope again only counts as 1.]
That just made my night. I especially love the use of fucktard, what a great word.
On my way home from work today I realized that douchebag-in-chief will be in office when I'm 30. I'll be fucking 30, and he'll still be around. The agenda is just going to go more right, and I'm scared. I haven't talked with or seen one happy person. My mom, whom I usually consider to be my barometer of mainstream surburban America, told me last night that she didn't know what she would do if Bush was elected. She was pissed that her priest was telling people to vote for him, and she felt that was not pro-life. She wanted to know how they could condemn abortion but support this war. There are innocent people dying out there. I was surprised and proud. I know there's more people who feel this way, right? Let's get this country back on track. There's hope, we're going to have to work and stand up for what this country is supposed to be.

i am feeling really empty, i am honestly not mad at bush. i still hate him, but he won fair and square. i am upset with his followers, or as i shall call them from now on his SHEEP. this man struck fear in them. his campaign was based on the notion that if you did not vote him in , you would die, hes protecting you, hes your buddy, etc..etc... WHERE WERE YOU ON SEPT. 11? dont tell me he didnt know. because he did, the documents prove that. i was waiting for a country driven by hope, and not fear. i am ashamed to be american. i am sorry to admit. our flag stands for blood. recover with me AND STILL KEEP THE FIGHT FOR PEACE!
P.S. dont bring up the ethics card, thats a cop-out. and for reference i am neither right or left wing. i am a spoken mind.
