I'm just glad that people like samick and sleightofhandpj and others are proving themselves to be exactly what we have all assumed. It just shows that underneath it all the red states are very very different on an intellectual level. Comments like "I don't care how many dead Iraqi's there are" just make my day.

i definately feel like there are two america's and the one that i don't belong to, the one that is now completely in power, kind of scares me a bit and i'm definately not looking forward to the next four years. i wish i could hibernate through them

And then I remember every one of them turning right around and telling the American people that if we don't act now, Iraq (the third world country crippled by international sanctions) was a great terrorist threat to America, and they were 100% certain that Iraq had those weapons of mass destruction.

And about 17,000 people are dead now because of it (including 1000 of our soldiers).
People always say, "Never forget, never forget" with regard to 9/11 and we haven't. But unfortunately, we've forgotten what happened in the days and months preceding it.

On my way home from work today I realized that douchebag-in-chief will be in office when I'm 30. I'll be fucking 30, and he'll still be around. The agenda is just going to go more right, and I'm scared. I haven't talked with or seen one happy person. My mom, whom I usually consider to be my barometer of mainstream surburban America, told me last night that she didn't know what she would do if Bush was elected. She was pissed that her priest was telling people to vote for him, and she felt that was not pro-life. She wanted to know how they could condemn abortion but support this war. There are innocent people dying out there. I was surprised and proud. I know there's more people who feel this way, right? Let's get this country back on track. There's hope, we're going to have to work and stand up for what this country is supposed to be.

i am feeling really empty, i am honestly not mad at bush. i still hate him, but he won fair and square. i am upset with his followers, or as i shall call them from now on his SHEEP. this man struck fear in them. his campaign was based on the notion that if you did not vote him in , you would die, hes protecting you, hes your buddy, etc..etc... WHERE WERE YOU ON SEPT. 11? dont tell me he didnt know. because he did, the documents prove that. i was waiting for a country driven by hope, and not fear. i am ashamed to be american. i am sorry to admit. our flag stands for blood. recover with me AND STILL KEEP THE FIGHT FOR PEACE!

i just have a feeling that something really bad is going to happen. it's weird because i didn't think the election was going to affect me so much..mainly because i was absolutly convinced kerry was going to have it.
