Just got back from seeing Seinfeld live for the third time. Great show, as you could imagine. A lot of new material, but, unfortunately, a lot of stuff he's used in the previous shows. Not that it's that terrible or anything. Afterall, I can watch the same episode over and over, so why should this be any different?
Anyone else seen him live? What were your impressions? It's kind of surprising to me how different his stage persona is from his television persona.

explain, I've never seen him live.
The first time I saw him, I expected the same PG performance he gave on TV. His live act's a lot edgier. Not Chris Rock or anything, but not the squeeky clean TV Jerry either. A little swearing, a few "Jesus Christ"s, and some subjects that just wouldn't have been touched on the show. For example, he had a little segment on stuff being stuck up a person's ass. He's also a lot more animated on stage than I thought he would be. I expected him to be pretty stationary, standing at the mike, because that's what we saw at the beginning of "Seinfeld" when he was doing his act (in the early years). Not so. He moves around a lot on the stage and many of the jokes are directly related to some action he's doing or his body language.

The assman episode with Fusilli Jerry?
I'd like to see Seinfeld live. I've seen some of his HBO specials and that movie he did where he threw out all his old material and started from scratch.
Damn my inept search abilities. Mods, feel free to merge, lock, whatever.
