That's bullshit. Introverts make terrible employees and coworkers.

the whole thing is bullshit, it states that there are no right or wrong answers but of course there are, I dont know why my company is making a group of us take it. I work for a fortune 500 firm, and I have to come back from traveling to take the test and then fly back out. It is pointless.

it can be pretty insightful. definitely one of the more 'accurate' personality tests out there. i've done it many times so i wouldn't have a problem doing it again.

i'm thinking it would show an employer more about how different employees would work together rather than anything specific about one person's personality.

Last time I took that course, I learned some shit about myself and my coworkers. But I was working with one girl who from that point on used the "you can't make me discuss my work because i'm an introvert and i don't work well with other people" excuse. That's bullshit, that's a total bastardization of the course.

Being a introvert myself, I am offended by your remarks and shall take them up with the HR department.

Pffft! Figures.

I wouldn't hate introverts so much if that coworker hadn't used her Myers-Briggs test as a tool to beat me with everytime I wanted to get work done for 2 years.

I hear you, that is pretty damn pathetic. I've taken that test three times and every time I come out as a iNFp.

the point of not wanting to take it is that I will have to fly out of town on monday, fly back in tuesady morning, take the test and fly back out tuesday afternoon. It is a waste of time and money for the company.

not sure that this is a bad attitute, just don't see the point of flying for 8 hours in one day to take a test whose questions and interpretations are so vauge that it could be interpreted as good and bad

supposedly it will show the company where you will be most useful, how well you'll work with others, what to watch you for etc.

more and more companies are starting to do these types of things with employees. its interesting.
