let's start anew here, my last thread was the lockout thread, it will only bring back bad memories. So let me give my 2 cents

The Philadelphia Flyers will win ths Stanley Cup this season.

I haven't watched any preseason games, but based on box scores it appears the refs are calling obstruction. I think there were 24 PPs in the Bruins game last night. Philly won't win, I don't think they will even get to the conference finals. They are already getting injured and the season hasn't even started. I see Forsberg playing about 30 games this year due to injuries and then retiring.

not sure I like the shootout to decide games. teams won't go for it in overtime, especially if they have a few good snipers. it would be like having a home run derby to decide the game if it were still tied after a few extra innings. the other rules, like the red line and smaller goalie pads should make the game high scoring and fun to watch.

i do disagree. players go to philadelphia and age ten years. i don't think this team will be as good as everyone thinks.

agreed, if the flyers were ever half as good as they were on paper they'd have won (or at least gone to) more than 1 stanley cup in the past 15 years.

maybe the wings can salvage my year of sports as a detroit fan

Vanek looks like he could be the Sabres' next great hope. The more I think about it, the happier I am that we let Satan go, though a draft pick in return would have been nice.

I hope that with all the new changes the Avs don't totally suck this year.

I cannot wait for their games against the Wings and Canucks.

I saw this today at the bookstore and I wanted to burn every copy that they had.
