I wonder a lot of things, but either assume they have no answer, or are too lazy to search for one. What crazy things do you wonder about?
1) If a blind person were given a surgery to be able to see completely clearly, and the first thing they were allowed to see when they woke up (before they even saw a person or ANYTHING else, because that would give them clues to the answers) were squares of color on a white background, would they be able to correctly identify more colors than is statistically average? Does blue really look like water feels? does red really look like something warm/hot? doe green really look like vegetation feels?
2) Do babies who are persistantly breech have any lasting disadavantage/advantage over vertex babies? Babies are generally head down for the last 6 weeks of pregnancy, meaning they have an increased flow of blood to the brain due to gravity, a time when the body is still forming synapses and neurons.. does that increased flow increase/decrease any portion of brain function?
3)It seems to me that men more often sleep on the left side of the bed than women do (hence, I choose to sleep on the left). Why is this? Or am I just imagining it. Which side do you sleep on? for illustrative purposes and so there is no confusion... When I say the left side of the bed, I'm talking about the side of the bed, which , in this picture, is closest to the window. I suppose you could also call it the right side of the bed if you were lying down on it on your back. hmmmph.

As for question number 3, I can only presume that men sleeping on the left side or open side of the bed could be a form of instinct to protect the female. I don't know though, just throwing that out in the open.

don't it make you smile? don't it make you smile? when the sun don't shine? (shine at all) don't it make you smile?
Couldn't even begin to guess about the first two. As for the third though, I myself sleep on the right side (as per your example). I don't really think there's any corilation (sp?) to which sex sleeps on what side, though it'd be interesting to see.
As for things I wonder about....
I wonder how a spider makes a spider web so well, I'm not sure if they're actually symetrical or not but they look to be. It's not like the spider has the advantage of standing back and taking in the work as he goes, he's right on there in the midst of the web.

At home I sleep on the left side of my bed. This past week I slept on the right for some reason.

I'm afraid that the names of colours are totally abstract.
no, not the name of the color..
The person has lived blind so they have all useful knowledge of what thing is what color.. they would know that water was called blue and fire was called red and grass was called green.
I'm not supposing that they can match the sound of the word blue with the color, but that they may be able to match their memory of what water feels like, with the color blue.
get it?

When I was in high school it was just something i noticed about my dad, my step dad, my best friends' dads, and then I started asking people and most of them were too.
maybe it was only a phenomenon in the mid-90s.

I already got it the first time. I just don't believe that a person looking at a blue sheet of paper or something would recognize it as blue because people say that water is blue (which it isn't, but whatever) and that person has had contact with water before. We give the colours their names. As children, we have to be taught which colour is which. It is actually a memory thing... I know I'm not gonna explain this correctly, I'm probably not gonna make any sense... I know a student who has only very small memory capacity. She knows that grass is green and stuff, but if she has to pick a certain colour she won't know which is which usually... what I just wrote doesn't seem to make sense, I know... but still... we are taught wich colour is which... ah forget me... I don't make sense today....

Tying in to what Raziel wrote, I've wondered if we actually all see the same colors. Like he said, we get taught that the yellow square is yellow, the green square is green, etc. So that's what we call that color. But how do I know that what's green to you isn't what I see as blue? I know that we all see the same colors, but still it's something I wonder about on occasion.

Interesting thought. I think that might be why we chose different favourite colours.
