Oh my god, yes, this album is among my favorite of SY's. I don't understand all the flack it gets. The title track is one of the best of Lee Ranaldo's it's fucking amazing. And wheneveber I put on "Streamxsonik subway" I have to listen to it like 5 times in a row. It's a damn good album. in fact, I think I'll listen to it now.

is it odd that after listening to daydream nation, a thousand leaves, nyc ghosts & flowers, and sonic nurse i chose to get NYC first? everyone raves out daydream nation, and while the praising is justified, i stil chose to get NYC. i'm glad i made that decision.

A Thousand Leaves is the best out of those.

Excellent album. I dont understand the hype that Daydream gets. Personally, I'd take Sonic Nurse, Murray Street, or NYC Ghost & Flowers anyday over Daydream Nation.

I'm not saying Daydream sucks. It's got some kick ass songs on there. Teen Age Riot, Silver Rocket, Providence, Kissability. Hell, I've tried to fall in love with that album. I just can't get into it.

I think a big reason for the praise about Daydream is the impact it had at the time it came out, especially on other musicians. Its still a great album now, but I don't think we can get the same feeling from it as those who got it in the late eighties.

i love the title track, i think it's one of their best songs. most of the rest of the album just seems so mediocre though.

It's one of my favorite SY albums, but I can understand why people don't like it. The distortion can be grating and the beatnik lyrics are rather campy at times.

All in all though, I love it. Perfect album for me. ;)
