i have dated my current girlfriend for over a year. i trust her 100%. she is one of the most sincere, honest, and caring person i know. lately, as in the past couple of months, one of her close EX co workers has started to express interest in her. he has remained professional and has taken the 'nice guy' approach - asking about me and her and how our relationship is going, but never crossing that line at work (when they worked together). well, about a month ago, my girl and i got into a fight and decided to take a break. during this brief break, my girl, this dude, and some of her co workers went out drinking and he made it a point to express his feelings towards her at the bar. since that point on, he hasnt stoped giving her extra attention and being flirtatious with her, even knocking on her bedroom door one night, wanting 'to talk' at 2:30 am, when he and one of her coworkers crashed at her house (she said she was sleepy and just closed the door). my girl recently changed jobs (not b/c of him, but b/c of $). again, they went out this past weekend and again they (ex co workers) crashed at my girls house. this time, he texted her 'can i stay with you' while he was on the couch and she was in her bed.

she has never expressed any interest in him or led him on to believe she liked him. shes just one of those friendly, outgoing, girls who likes to have fun, but has never told him that she doesnt find him attractive until now. he hasnt tried to do anything physically (no grabbing, kissing, or groping), yet.

last night she called him and told him it was inappropriate to have texted her what he did and she didnt find him attractive and that she already had a boy friend she was in love with. his reply was basically that he didnt mean anything by the text message, which to me is a complete cop out.

my questions is this to everyone: what do you think of this situation? should i step up and a) give him some shit b) kick his ass c)both??

please be honest and dont bullshit. this is very serious to me.

she just told him how she feels. if he bothers her again i would say then you can kick his ass or threaten him or whatever. but right now it's probably not even worth doing anything.

If you can pwn this guy in a fight, I say do it.

Actually...girls react funny to that kinda thing. She might not want you doing it.

she told him how she feels about you

you need to tell him how you feel about her

remind him that you're just taking a short break and that
the door is not open for him to move in yet.

I dont believe in jealousy, but there is a thing called respect. Women are strange though. We have a funny way of being friends with guys who want to fuck us and we are able to seperate the two. Go figure.

Yeah, this is true. I had a really good guy friend not too long ago that had a huge crush on me but he was just a friend to me. I would make this very clear to him. We did everything together and I had a boyfriend at the time. He tried to scoop in when I broke up with my ex but as much as I loved hanging with him it wasn't going to happen. He ended getting a girlfriend and completely quit talking to me. That hurt my feelings that he could do that to our friendship but I understood his stand point.

I would have beaten his ass a long time ago with passion. Seriously. Nothing about beating up a guy that gets on my loved one's nerves.
