Dismiss it as conspiracy theory if you like, but here are some distrubing things I have been hearing/reading about the election.
-Exit polls have always been very accurate in calling elections, and after the results are tallied the exit polling usually matches up with actual votes very closely. For the first time, exit polls were way off. Exit polls said Kerry should have won, ballots showed Bush.
-I heard 70% of the country used e-voting machines
-Republicans consistently blocked attempts to have e-voting machines leave any kind of paper trail.
-The manufacturers of e-voting machines and have blocked any access to their source code as "trade secrets". The major manufacturer, Diebold, is an openly Republican supporting organization. In August, 2003, Diebold CEO Walden O’Dell wrote a letter to Ohio Republicans in which he said he was “committed to helping Ohio to deliver its electoral votes to the president next year.â€

NOVEMBER 05, 2004 (IDG NEWS SERVICE) - Electronic voting machine problems caused more than 4,500 votes to be lost in one North Carolina county during Tuesday's general election, and gave U.S. President George Bush more than 3,800 extra votes in an Ohio county, according to reports by The Associated Press.
In the Ohio incident, a glitch in e-voting machines made by Election Systems & Software Inc. caused Bush to receive an extra 3,893 votes, more than five times the votes actually cast in the precinct in question.
