As an encrazed fan of the much hated yankees, I am beginning to realize that in the past few years of Yankees losses in the playoffs how much I really love the team. When I started following the team circa 1994-95, I didnt quite know what it was like to not win it all. Now that I do, the love for my team has not died and never will. I have gone through so much emotion with the team I will never forget. I finally know what it was like to be a Red Sox fan for all those years.

I cried the day the islanders ended there seven year playoff drought, I was in the stands and for so long i was there when the building was empty and ever summer I saw players traded away in cost=cutting moves, when they made the playoffs in 2001, I felt reborn, damn i miss hockey

I've always felt the same way about the Cowboys and the Stars... those teams never fail to give me heart attack after heart attack, but it seems like when they lose I love them even more...

I miss hockey too... I wonder what some of the guys who didn't jump the pond to play are doing... R&R time?

The measure of true sporting fandom are the insane people living in Australia who routinely watch the live coverage of their sport of choice in the graveyard hours, when the game is being played on the other side of the world, be it baseball in the US or soccer in the UK, whatever. Week after week, month after month, year after year, having to show up for work the next day and not getting any sleep because we just have to stay up.

It's tough, but we love it.

When the Colts are in the playoffs i take the phone off the hook and don't let anybody come over while the game is on. If anybody breaks these rules they are banned from my apartment for a year. It happened to one of my friends last year. He came over during the Patriots game and I nearly killed him. He's not allowed over til next February
