I live about an hour from Yankee Stadium, and work at a golf course. Just wanted to point out, that Yankees Fans are with out a doubt the biggest fair weather fans in the history of sports.

All year long, not a peep from Yanks fans. I hardly ever saw a member come in the shop with a Yankees hat on. One day after they clinch a birth in the playoffs, they come in flocks, smiling laughing, trying to give me a hard time. I love it, bring it on douche bags. You all suck.

.....Waits for all the bullshit posts about the bandwagon Sox fans from last year...

Again, I am not whining. At least you guys are not argueing and can accept the fact that I am right.

The sox are right where they want to be, when cleveland loses, the sox game won't even matter today, but they will destroy the Yanks on the ankles of Schilling.

Playoff preview

The Yanks will be playing the Angels, and will lose 3 games to 1
The Red Sox will beat the other Sox, 3 games to 1
Sox will Beat the Angels in 6 games, and go on to sweep the Cardinals, yet again.

Typical Sox fan. I've seen more Sox fairweather fans over the past two seasons than any other team.

Fairweather fans are the scum of the sports world. My roommate roots for the Yankees and the Patriots.

I'm seeing a lot now that the Tampa Bay Lightning are playing again. But on the positive side, at least they still support the team in some way after that lockout nonsense.

No, Sox fans just call for the firing of Terry Francona the year after he manages the team to its first World Series in almost 90 years.

The more popular/winning a team is the more bandwagon fans there are. I was up in New England this summer and I saw a lot of people wearing what looked like brand new Redsox gear. I always find it funny how redsox fans think their team is 'special' and the fan base is more loyal than all other teams.

here's the thing, there are actually diehard yankee fans out there and there are diehard Red sox fans. The problem is that there are quite a bit of people that love to attach themselves to our loves when they are winning. They suck, period. i have no problem with MFY fans that support their team all year (although there are plenty that get on my nerves). Hell Punkdavid and I can actually have discussions from time to time on here that don't involve either of us doing anything worse than barbing eachother.

In fact, i don't understand why i have to "hate" yankee fans. I hate who they root for, but if they would just stop being such large-ass ignoramous's long enough to hold an educated discussion things would be fine. But what are the chances of that.

you don't think boston fans screaming "YANKEES SUCK" at the top of their lungs in unison is ignorant?

mitch what you're doing is lumping all of us together. That's like saying because one black guy is a thief they all are. Not all of us scream yankees suck because the wind is blowing or the sun is in the sky.

No, I am not lumping you all together by that statement. I simply asked if boston fans doing that is ignorant. This is lumping a group of fans together:

This thread is pointless. There ar a shitload of Yankee fans in NY and out of the state. You're gonna come upon some of these "fairwhether" fans wherever you go. The Yankees sell more merchandise than any team in any sport. There are also die-hard Yankee fans that actually stick with the team no matter what. They've been around in the 80's when the team sucked and they are still here. The Boston hypocricy is beyong annoying.

In the past year, I've met people with Red Sox hats who didn't know that there was a Yankees-Sox game on that very day. Also, I have friends who couldn't name a single Sox player in 2003 who claim to be Sox fans now. Every team has fairweather fans.

Oh, you don't. I guess that settles it then. You represent the entire Sox nation.
