eh...they wouldn't be in the playoffs without him...he's been solid since we got him, and even after the error they still had the lead...it took a hanging curveball from Wells to change things around on the scoreboard

I think he's taking too much abuse. It's not like it was the bottom of the 9th. There was still plenty of baseball to be played after the error.

true. i'm just playing around. but what an ugly-looking error, right? slow grounder between the legs, that would have otherwise gone for two outs in a crucial inning.

How is that a very similar situation? Not even, close. They only thing that was similar was the difficulty of the play.

the fact that both cost their respective teams a game, while not the series, the game itself on a very ordinary mundane play. the only reason this past one wont be so haunting is buckner was so villified is because the socks won the series last year

maybe, but if bellhorn's still on the team L_S, the sox don't make the playoffs. I believe Tony was worth a win or two along the way, the guy's pretty good, I hope they keep him.

Actually he is on the Yankees, though I doubt he is on the post season roster - for round 1 anyway.
They gave him a nice standing O last weekend in Boston
I'm saying if they didn't release him, and he still played for the Red Sox, they would all be on the golf course because they wouldn't have made the playoffs with his pathetic ass in the lineup
