I'm watching FOX and at 12 they had King of the Hill and now at 12:30 they have South Park(!) I had no idea they showed reruns of South Park. Is this new or am I out of the loop?

It's new. South Park has just been syndicated.

Yeah, I came across South Park reruns on the local independent station here a week or two ago. I was quite surprised also.

Too bad they are gonna edit a lot of the shows to make them more PC. They might as well show All in the Family and just take out everything that Archie says

Do you know that for a fact? It seemed pretty unedited the episode I saw, and it was on late at night, so I don't know that they'd need to.

I'd like to see them play the episode where they say shit about 70 times...

If its on network tv, they have the FCC to worry about, so they might be more cautious. Also, the advertisers on Fox could be more conservative than those of Comedy Central.

It's not like they're playing these at 6pm between Seinfeld and Friends. They're on late at night after local news.

Thats true. Its not like the current FCC would side with censorship over common sense.

It's not about Fox or UPN. These are syndicated shows on local television stations, some of which are Fox affiliates, some are UPN, some are indy. A "UPN" station, for example, is only a UPN station during the 8 or 10 hours a week that they're broadcasting UPN programs. The rest of the time, they're just WGFJ or whatever scrounging up whatever programming they can afford tocreate or buy and air.

I know for a fact that the syndicated shows are being edited. Not all of them will be messed with but some of the language is supposed to be either changed or beeped out. I read about it but lost the link. I'm sure you can find it somewhere, i'd help you out but i have some drinking to do.
