Who are some of your favorite underrated actors and actresses?

I think John Turturro is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood today. I think he was fucking great as John Shooter in Secret Window. Turturro and Johnny Depp single handedly made that movie great. Turturro also played Emilio Lopez (Blake's Butler) in Mr. Deeds. Turturro has also been in the films Anger Management, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and The Big Lebowski. This guy is an awsome actor and nobody really pays much attention to him.

Good Lord.

Underatted? It's spelled correctly in the title of the thread!

Kevin Spacey. I know he's known, I know he's won awards, but damn he's too good.

Steve Buscemi. He's my favourite actor, but he's just too funny-lookin' to make it to the A-list.

Brad Pitt. Seriously, he's a great actor, not just the eye candy

Hugh Grant is the most over-hyped crapass actor ever. He does the same role every single movie.

He was so good as Sid. Tremendous performnace. Same goes for his performance as Oswald in JFK. He seems like a disturbed guy, great actor.

Probably.

I think these guys are all pretty well-respected, in proportion to their talent. Spacey is still considered one of the best actors in Hollywood, even though he's not doing much these days and he hasn't had a really nice, juicy role since '99. Jackson is very well-respected, but he's going to need to seriously expand his range if he wants much more recogition. Oldman is one of the greatest character actors of his time and is recognized as such.
